About the Journal
OpenPhilately is a new journal that aims to make quality philatelic research available to all.
Focus and Scope
OpenPhilately takes a broad view of philately and postal history and welcomes submissions about, but not limited to: postal and stamp history and iconography, commercial aspects, political aspects, postal adminstration, postcard history and icongraphy, printing techniques and materials, material preservation, and conservation.
OpenPhilately publishes original materials in a variety of formats, such as full research articles, shorter length feature articles, book, website, and social media reviews, and philatelic exhibits. Except for exhibits, all materials must not have been previously published. Please contact the editor if you have a format that is outside of these areas.
All submissions will undergo editorial review.
OpenPhilately publishes two issues annually. Once the first issue is published, the journal will be indexed with OAI-PMH harvesters, search engines, and databases such as WorldCat or Google Scholar.
