How Can I Create a Successful Article for IJWC?

- Reflect the most current knowledge in the related fields, citing recent research findings.
- Include practical implications of the research and describe the benefits for children.
- Write with clear and direct language, using the active voice as much as possible. Articles must be comprehensible to an international audience. Idiomatic use of language specific to a national or cultural context should be clearly explained or avoided to the extent possible.
- In order to enhance clarity and understanding, authors may include visuals (high-resolution photographs, children’s work samples, charts, and graphs).

What About Editing?

It is recommended that prior to submission, you review your article carefully. Often, it helps to have a colleague read your article and, when possible, your article should be professionally edited. Although we do review articles and prepare them for publication, we assume that all manuscripts submitted will arrive in almost print-ready condition.

While the views expressed in IJWC publication may not represent the views of the whole membership, they do adhere to ethical standards. Following the guidelines established in the American Psychological Association’s Publication Manual (6th edition), IJWC seeks to reduce bias in language. As a journal respecting inclusion, we avoid content and language that may be construed as biased toward any one nation, religion, socioeconomic group, race, or gender.
